That’s the key takeaway from a paper published in the Journal of Perspectives on Psychological Science and reported in Inverse. The paper was authored by 15 psychologists, psychiatrist and mindfulness experts from 15 different institutions. Their warning is that apps, YouTube videos and an avalanche of products and services from self-described Mindfulness practitioners, should be viewed with a critical eye. While Mindfulness has its place, it’s not a cure-all. And, as with all things, mindful buyer beware. In an upcoming post, I’ll review some of my favorite products/services (and maybe a few to avoid).
